YOUR GUIDE TO THE AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY

PLAN YOUR VISIT TODAY

Summertime is the perfect opportunity to spend quality time with your children, and in a city like NYC, there is an absolute plethora of activities that both you and they will enjoy.

Whether you enjoy parks, shopping, kid-friendly playtime, or an expansive museum, New York City has something to keep your summertime schedule filled.

If you would like to provide your children with a stellar educational opportunity this summer, why not get tickets to the American Museum of Natural History?

You could spend an entire afternoon or longer perusing their amazing exhibits while your children learn about various cultures and civilizations. Building your perfect American Museum of Natural History experience is easy if you know where to start. Here are a few suggestions for making your trip to the city incredible from start to finish.

DON’T DRIVE

One of the most stressful parts of taking the kids out for the day is the struggle of driving, keeping them in line, parking and wrangling them back into the car at the end of the day. If you want to enjoy a truly relaxing day with your children in NYC, forgo the responsibility of driving and book a New York car service vehicle.

You’ll have a chauffeur at your service, one who will take on all the stresses of navigating the crowded city, finding parking and retrieving you from your destination when it’s time to go home. When you have small children to tend to, relieving yourself of the stress of driving can be a godsend.

FIND A GREAT RESTAURANT

A day in the city wouldn’t be complete without some stellar fare to cap off your evening. There are a ton of great restaurants near the museum, so everyone in your group will be happy when the day comes to a close.

One of our favorite restaurants near the Museum is Isabella’s, an impressive spot for Mediterranean fusion that offers something for each palate and provides an atmosphere that will soothe after a long day viewing exhibitions.  Isabella’s is located on Columbus Avenue, just a short walk from the Museum.

Another great restaurant on the Upper West Side is Sarabeth’s, which serves a variety of American comfort foods and offers top-notch, family-friendly service and a great location near the Museum.

KNOW YOUR EXHIBITS

The American Museum of Natural History is one of the most expansive museums in the country, offering amazing exhibits to both educate and astound visitors.

One fantastic exhibit to keep an eye out for when you visit is Pterosaurs: Flight in the Age of Dinosaurs, which offers an inside look at the astounding ways that prehistoric animals discovered the ability to fly.

Dark Universe is a fabulous space show at the Hayden Planetarium that will let you discover some of the secrets of space, and marvel at our universe and its power.

Natural Histories: 400 Years of Scientific Illustration from the Museum’s Library showcases the vital role that illustration has played in the continued discovery of scientific landmarks throughout the past four centuries.

Of course, the Museum offers countless additional exhibits, as well, from prehistoric peoples to ancient cultures, dress, jewelry and artifacts that help us discover our own history as well as the history of the planet. When you’ve completed your trip to the museum, you can simply relax in the back of your chauffeured car.
