WHY YOU NEED TO START PLANNING FOR SUPER BOWL XLVIII YESTERDAY

PLANNING FOR THE PERFECT FOOTBALL GAME

Believe it or not, the time to start planning your 2014 super bowl trip is now.

According to the Nielson company, the past three Super Bowls are the top three most viewed television events of all time. With an average viewership of over 100 million people, it’s no surprise that this is one of America’s largest cultural events.

That said, it’s also one of the nation’s largest events attendance wise. In February of 2014, millions of people will descend upon Metlife Stadium in a football-fueled frenzy to see the last two teams face off in the NFL championship. Even if your team isn’t one of the top 2, there’s no reason why you should let the opportunity of a Super Bowl in the biggest city in If you’re planning to be among them, this post is for you.

HERE ARE 3 REASONS WHY YOU NEED TO START PLANNING RIGHT AWAY

1.     WEATHER

It’s no secret that February in New York is going to be really really cold. The average February temperatures include highs of 42 and lows of 29 (with a record low of -15). So if you’re planning on booking a room on the outskirts of the city and walking to the games/events, we would suggest you reconsider.

Snowfall is also a huge factor as many visitors to the city are totally unfamiliar with the amount of snow that the northeast receives on a yearly basis. East Rutherford has around 18 inches of snow a year.

2.     CONGESTION

Traveling to New Jersey in the offseason is busy—imagine what the super bowl is going to do to one of the most congested parts of the country. As experts in the transportation industry, we can tell you from first-hand experience that you simply do not want to be driving in New Jersey on Super Bowl Sunday.

Chauffeured car service is just about the only way to guarantee that you can make your way across the city during this year’s Super Bowl. Professional drivers understand city traffic, parking concerns, and weather hazards better than anyone.

3.     BOOKING

As crazy as it may sound, there are plenty of hotels that are already taking reservations for this year’s Super Bowl festivities. This is definitely not the event where you should feel comfortable waiting until the last minute to book. We highly recommend that all of our out-of-town Super Bowl guests book hotel rooms immediately in order to ensure that their space is saved.

That said, there will also be an extremely large influx of chauffeured transportation professionals based on the previously discussed need for car service. If you are looking to guarantee that you have a vehicle waiting for you when you get to a freezing, jam-packed New York City in February, it’s highly important to go ahead and think about booking.

Here at Executive Transportation, our goal is to make sure that all of our clients receive the best possible treatment in our favorite city and that’s why we’ve taken the time to encourage you to think ahead. Our full-service line of vehicles is guaranteed to make your Super Bowl trip even better than you could have ever anticipated.
