BEST LONG ISLAND PHOTOGRAPHY VENUES FOR YOUR NEW YORK WEDDING LIMO

You’re getting ready for the big day. You’ve got the dress, the caterer is booked, everyone has RSVP’d, and things are looking good. You forgot something. Where are you getting your wedding photos taken on the big day? Sure, you can go the traditional route and have them taken at the location, but why not go non-traditional and check out all the different places on Long Island that you can visit when you book a New York wedding limo?

For starters, the driver is there to ensure that you get to your photography location on time and that everyone else from your wedding party who has a limousine service for the night arrives on time as well. Then your driver will wait for you to finish and get you to the wedding venue with plenty of time to spare. Don’t forget to include the limousine in your photos. You’re going to want to remember every aspect of this special day. Check out these 7 venues for your wedding photography needs.

OHEKA CASTLE – 135 WEST GATE DRIVE, WOODBURY

At one time a castle, this building has been transformed into a luxury hotel and sits on 443 acres of clean lawns and gardens. Photographers often take pictures of engaged couples and newlyweds in and around the gardens, as well as inside the hotel’s beautiful entryways. There’s a lot to the exterior architecture as well, so outside shots are also very beautiful.

PLANTING FIELDS ARBORETUM HISTORIC STATE PARK AND COE HALL – 1935 PLANTING FIELDS ROAD, OYSTER BAY

This photography hotspot is particularly excellent for fall photography and contains 409 acres of landscape with several greenhouses, wooded paths, and beautiful gardens. It’s the perfect spot to take photographs using natural lighting and the nature-given backdrops. The land also features a 65-room Tudor Mansion that provides a great location as well.

PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT’S SAGAMORE HILL ESTATE – 20 SAGAMORE HILL ROAD, OYSTER BAY

This nature park combines history and nature and is on the historic register by The New York State Department of Interior. The home on the property was home to Theodore Roosevelt until he passed away. The grounds are rich with history and provide an exquisite backdrop for wedding portraits.

COLD SPRING HARBOR MARINA – IN COLD SPRING HARBOR

You’ll need to bring your jacket in the colder months, but this area is perfect for all of your wedding photography needs. Even though the harbor is smaller than most in Long Island, it has a certain quaint charm that provides a picturesque quality. In the fall, the many trees that surround the harbor provide a perfect color scheme to compliment the traditional black and white of a wedding dress and tuxedo.

HISTORIC TOWN OF NORTHPORT

The entire town of Northport is beautiful. It overlooks the water and is filled with Victorian houses and quaint scenery. Don’t miss the town square. Use the entire town to get a 1930s vibe to your photos.

OLD BETHPAGE VILLAGE RESTORATION – 1303 ROUND SWAMP ROAD, BETHPAGE

If you’re having a pilgrim-themed wedding (and let’s be honest, who isn’t these days?)  you should check out this exact replica of the Bethpage Village. It recreates life as it was in the 1700s and 1800s, and there are beautiful barns and buildings to use as your backdrop.

STEPPINGSTONE PARK AND MARINA – 38 STEPPINGSTONE LANE, GREAT BECK

If you’re looking to get some of the New York City skyline in your photos, check out the Steppingstone Park and Marina. You’ve got plenty of options in the park, including the gardens and several statues. The park isn’t that big, but it’s the only place you can get great shots of New York City in the background.
