3 WAYS TO CELEBRATE SUPER BOWL 2014 ON LONG ISLAND

CHEERING YOUR TEAM ON IN STYLE

New York plays host to the Super Bowl in 2014, and the excitement is already building. If you’re lucky enough to have tickets, you’ll need to arrive in style. How else could you possibly show up for the biggest sporting event of the year? It’s never too soon to book your limousine or SUV for the trip, either. If you’re not planning to go, that doesn’t mean you can have the time of your life while watching the game. You’ll just need to get a little creative.

Need some ideas for celebrating the Super Bowl on Long Island? Here are 3 to get you started:

CLASSIC SPORTS BAR

Maybe a sports bar sounds like a cop out, but you could actually have the time of your life if you plan correctly. Consider renting out one of the private rooms at a local sports bar so you and your closest friends can spread out and enjoy the game rather than fight off other customers at the bar. You may need to pay a little more money than usual for the convenience, but isn’t that worth it when you get your own slice of heaven?

MAKE THE MOST OF HOME

Hosting a party in your house doesn’t have to be boring. What if you had a theme, where all the snacks are homemade? Start with a home brew, and you’ll have a new hobby in addition to your own Super Bowl beer. Some baked tortillas and homemade guacamole will go a long way toward keeping your guests happy. Throw handmade decorations into the mix, and you’ve got yourself a real party. The only way to amp up the fun from here is to have everyone over early to help with the preparation.

MOBILE SPORTS BAR

Maybe the most exciting way to enjoy the game—if you’re not sitting on the 50-yard line, that is—would be to hire a party bus and take your celebration on the road. The concept is pretty much the same as renting a room at your local sports bar, but in this scenario, you don’t have to share anything. The big-screen TVs will broadcast the game, a wet bar will serve beer as long as people are drinking, and no one will get in your way.

Personally, we recommend the party bus. Who else do you know that will come up with an idea so ingenious?
